Pastor Dan Capps and Apostle Alexander have come together with a shared vision to care for children displaced by conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their partnership is focused on building an orphanage that will house up to 50 children, offering them safety, education, and stability in a nurturing environment. With land secured for dormitories, staff housing, and sustainable farming, this project is designed not only to meet urgent needs but also to create long-term hope and opportunity for vulnerable young lives.
We have received distressing news from a village located approximately 65 miles from Butembo, where our Orphanage Project is currently underway. The village was attacked by rebel forces, resulting in the tragic loss of all inhabitants, including children. Reports described the massacre as “all slaughtered like animals,” and images from the scene were too graphic to share publicly.
This horrific act of violence underscores the urgent need for prayer and support. The Church in Butembo is gathering in prayer for the families affected and for protection over the community. We ask you to join us in lifting them up and standing against such acts of brutality in the name of Jesus.
