ADAMARA FOR CHILD INITIATIVE

Empowering indigenous communities, protecting children, and advancing education, well-being, and gender equality in Karamoja, Uganda.

OUR PURPOSE

Empowering Communities. Elevating Every Child.

Adamara for Child Initiative (A4C) is a grassroots, Indigenous, women-led organization based in Karamoja, Uganda. We work alongside pastoralist and Indigenous communities whose children are often excluded from national and global development gains.

Inspired by “ADMARA,” meaning grandmother’s love, our work is rooted in the protective, intergenerational strength of grandmothers, caregivers, and young people as agents of lasting change.

Our programs focus on child protection, children’s education, well-being, menstrual health management, infrastructure, leadership and development, resilient community livelihoods, and gender equality.

We are committed to empowering communities, educating children, and elevating opportunities so that no child is left behind.
